(Let that marinate like a delicious piece of medium rare steak laid over a mound of silky mashed potatoes ladled with a golden browned butter sauce & lemme know.) 🤤
There’s a dream kitchen that lives in my head - one inside a rustic barndominium with 20-ft vaulted ceilings, commercial sized walk-in fridges & a comfortable 12-seater gathering table. A dessert always ready to be divvied up.
But really, my vision of that table is just to fill it. With memories & stories. Laughs & love.
I want family around it & around me all the time.
More importantly, I just want people to feel like they can stay awhile.
Turning that sort of dream into reality takes time. Effort. Intention.
All the other bits too - like planning, strategizing, reorganizing.
Maybe even learning to cook or braise. Roast or sear.
And an incredibly unreal large number of dishes to wash.
But wouldn’t it be worth it in the end?🥹
I think so.
So to inspire you I plotted out a way to fill your freezer in one month!
If batching marathons aren’t your thing & if you’re not quite as committed to preserving food yet, this monthly chart could help you take things slowly.
You could do one task everyday.
Or group items together where it makes sense for you. Like stick muffins in the oven with something like banana nut bread while you turn waffles out for breakfast one morning. (I’ve done this btw)
Whatever the method to your madness, here are 28 items (more really with all the possible variations) you can make to stock your freezer full so you don’t have to think or cook everyday. For at least several weeks. 😎✌🏽
P.S. To start pantry stashing with something simple, try one of my 3 most used seasoning blends (taco is my favorite!). Easy to make up, easier to batch, flavor only a couple pinches away 🥂
