βœ‹πŸ½ do this, not that

Heyy Reader,

Three weeks later, I didn't win the pitch contest because mine was too long. πŸ˜’

Ironic because brevity is like my gold standard for most emails.

And honestly, I was a lil salty about it but - win some, lose some.
"On to the next pitch," - my Husbo.

Last week a couple of you reached out about some kitchen situations you've got that are stickier than a fat, center-roll sticky bun.

So for the rest of you wayyyyyy off in the back, here's what these ladies put me to task on.

  • Meal plans of sorts
  • Affordable heart-healthy recipes
  • Preserving anything with no space

(You know I was really excited to talk about that last one! πŸ˜‹)

But my kitchen isn't without problems.

Primarily, meal planning just takes too long & I can't. Plus, we could use more variety.

So, I'm compiling allllllllllll the recipes we've ever touched, tried, loved or saved over the past decade+ & going to organize them into a few themes to make the meal planning stupidly easy.

As in, my 3yr old will be able to do it. No lie - that's actually my goal.

Because if it's easy enough for a toddler, it'll be JUST what my overstimulated brain needs. 🀌🏽 Mwah! *chef’s kiss*

Here's 3 kitchen do's & don'ts...

  1. DO create a fam-favorite meal bank. DON'T compulsively save a million & three recipes "to try" but then never do.
  2. DO prioritize meals based on ingredients you already have. DON'T keep buying groceries you don't really need bc "there's food at home!" - every mom in 2003. πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ
  3. DO buy/stock quality pantry staples so you can swap store-bought/convenience items for homemade versions. DON'T keep buying pre-made, artificial flavored (& colored) junk. It's not worth the gas. 🫠

Follow these 3 tips to increase the variety of foods you eat at home, save money on groceries & enjoy healthier meals while lightly stepping into the preservation territory.

Don't & you won't - simple as that!
